Honey Bees

The Honey Bee

Honey bees play a major part in producing the highest quality of fruits and vegetables that we consume. Not only do they contribute to the quality of food that we eat but they also deliver us, honey! They do this by collecting the nectar from flowers. Honey can be used in various ways from honey consumption on its own providing lots of nutrients, to soothing a sore throat, and easing an upset stomach. It can even be found inside the ingredients of many skin care products. Within their small insect body they provide many advantages to us as humans. It is no wonder why we want to protect them from becoming endangered as much as possible.

Why Honey Bees Sting

It is rare that a honey bee will sting when away from its hive, unless they are stepped on or threatened. However, a honey bee will seek out and sting if they feel that their hive is endanger. Often honey bees will alert one another of potential danger by releasing an attack pheromone. When a bee does sting it will release venom into its victim. Only the honey be will leave its stinger. Immediate removal is key in reducing the harmful effects the venom can cause to a human.

What We Gather From Bees

If you stay away and do not threaten honey bees or the hive it is unlikely that a they will sting. Honey bees provide us with great benefits, from the honey they produce to quality of fruits and vegetables they help pollinate. Not stoping at just helping grow our food/ produce, but by helping to aid in the healing of our bodies as well. We do not want to see honey bees become endangered, yet at the same time we do not want a hive near or on our property. Having a honey bee hive near your home can mean potential danger to you and your loved ones if at anytime the hive feels threatened. It is strongly recommend that you seek the help of a professional in bee hive removal before an accident occurs.
